Season 1: #

It’s said in his family that his Great-Great-Great-Grandfather, from which he bears his name, was a pirate. Some say there may have been mermaids involved. No one really knows.

Max grew up in the Barbados. In his teens, after a major storm devastated his childhood home, his family packed up what they had left and moved to Boston. He grew up in a middle class home, went to private school and generally lived a sensible and somewhat privileged life for the time. As he grew into adulthood, Max became bored of the city life and decided he wanted to venture from the ‘civilized’ life and do something exciting. Like the stories he’d heard of his own family history.

His goal growing up, was either be a military officer or a frontier law man. When he heard of the opportunities that the county offered he jumped at the idea of settling here.

So he sold what little he had, and made his way west arriving in Blackwater to start his new life.

Season 2 update: #

Maxfield Stonebridge — Came from comfortable city upbringings in the eastern US. When he was young and just out of school, he yearned for adventure and excitement. Sick and tired of the drudgery, he ventured for excitement with only a few dollars and meagre possessions. As he crossed the country, he did odd jobs and saw the things there were to see, as he worked, he found more and more a desire to help people and be the one people could count on.

Eventually, Max landed in Sundown and saw the need to help the people of this new frontier. He enlisted with the sheriff’s department and, through strife and struggle, rose through the ranks to eventually wear the mantle of Sheriff.

Max is a proud and strong-minded. He tries to see the best in people, but does not hesitate to levy justice where it is needed.
